Intelligence dataset

56 mid-market M&A precedents, auditable.

Screen disclosed transactions across 5 sectors and 17 jurisdictions. Every deal carries its source label — public-sourced filing or community-verified — and a three-stage verification trail. Use it to screen targets, defend valuations, or benchmark a sector before you commit capital.

The dataset

A coverage map that actually maps to mid-market.

The large-cap data terminals index above $1Benterprise value; venture databases lean early-stage. Dealflou is purpose-built for the bracket where most M&A actually happens — sub-$500M EV, control and growth-equity transactions, across the Americas, Europe and Asia.

Every comparable carries its provenance.

Most datasets blend public and proprietary inputs into an “industry average” with no citation. We don't. Every transaction keeps its source chip on every screen, in every export, in every CSV — so you can defend a number to your IC, your counsel, or your audit committee.

Workflow

From a sector hypothesis to a defensible bid.

Most bid prep is searching for comparable transactions, normalising them, then building the case. Three steps in Dealflou.

01

Screen by sector + size

Filter by sector, sub-sector, geography, size bucket, deal type and date range. Save the filter as a preset and pin it to a watchlist target. P25 / Median / P75 update live as you adjust.

  • 5 sectors in the pool
  • 17 jurisdictions represented
  • Outlier filter >2σ excluded
02

Triangulate your range

Apply the median multiple to your target's metrics for a quick anchor. Or jump into the valuation engine for full DCF + Multiples + qualitative WACC + Monte Carlo triangulation against this comparable set.

  • Quick anchor from median × EBITDA
  • Full triangulation without leaving the deal
  • Cross-check auto vs ask
03

Export & defend

One-click export to CSV or PDF with every source chip and verification status preserved. Your IC memo, your counsel, your audit committee — they all see which data points are public-sourced and which are community-verified.

  • CSV export · all metadata preserved
  • PDF memo with citations
  • Audit trail per export

Cross-check

The ask shows up in the same view as the precedent band.

Every advisor mandate with revenue and EBITDA on file gets an automatic cross-check finding inside AI Diligence. Implied EV/EBITDA is computed, the precedent band for the matching sector + size bucket is drawn, and severity is assigned: in-range, near-edge, or above/below band. The top three closest peers are cited as clickable chips so the partner can drill straight to the comparable.

The same severity surfaces as a compact widget in the deal-detail sidebar, so the advisor sees the verdict before opening the diligence tab. When sample depth is too thin to trust, a coverage-gap flag is raised instead of a false signal.

  • In rangeAsk ∈ [P25, P75]
  • Near edgeWithin 15% of band
  • Above/below band≥15% out, ratio < 0.5

Common questions

What buyers actually ask on the demo call.

How is this different from the large-cap data terminals?

Coverage. The incumbent terminals are deepest above $1B EV; venture databases lean early-stage. This dataset is built for the $50–500M EV bracket where mid-market M&A actually happens, and where competing datasets are thin — 56 precedents today, each one source-traced. We don't compete on equity screening or fixed-income data.

Where do community-submitted deals come from?

Working advisors, sponsors and corporate development teams who submit deals they have directly worked on. Every submission passes a three-stage verification ladder before it affects multiples calculations, and an AI quality gate rejects malformed or unsupportable entries at the form level.

What stops someone from submitting bogus deals to game the discount?

Multiple controls. A hard cap of 5 deals per user per month. An AI quality gate at submission. An evidence requirement for verified status. Cross-validation when two users submit the same deal — both are credited, integrity preserved. False evidence costs −10 points plus a 30-day suspension.

Can I keep my submitted deals confidential?

Yes. Pick a publication delay at submission — 30, 90, 180 or 365 days. You get full credit and points immediately; the deal becomes searchable in the public dataset after your delay expires. Blind mode hides the target name. The submission flow is NDA-aware.

How fresh is the public dataset?

EDGAR, CNMV, RNS, LSE, CADE and 18 other national registries are sourced on a continuous cycle. New filings are parsed, sector-classified, and indexed within 24 hours. The full dataset is rebuilt nightly and we publish a daily integrity hash.

Does it integrate with the valuation engine?

Tightly. Comparables you have saved (or pulled live by filter) feed the multiples tab of any valuation. When the implied ask sits above the P75, a cross-check finding auto-generates in the AI Diligence flag list with a one-click counter-valuation CTA.
